Does anyone know if the 'black insert' in the lower part of the Mk 7 rear bumper is detachable ? I have put a slight mark in mine through clumsy reversing (no reversing sensors !). If it is detachable am I likely to get hold of one ?

    It is detachable - the zetec-s has a different one to the others. Try looking on ebay, failing that a ford dealer (won't be cheap) or websites that sell ford parts?     Thanks - at least now I know it comes off. I will look around for one.

    That's brilliant - shows clearly that the 'diffuser' or bottom section just clips on. Getting the bumper off to work on it is harder but I might be able to get the 'diffuser' bit off in situ. Thanks.
