Noise Coming From Drivers Side Rear Door On Unlocking.

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have a problem where when I unlock my Fiesta there is a noise (loud buzz) coming from the drivers side rear door, the door unlocks and locks normally but it doesn't sound good!

I've been told I need a new central locking unit, is that correct? A friend who is a mechanic is going to fit it but he said the part was £100+ so to go onto ebay and find one for much cheaper.

My car is a 51 plate, 2002 model, MK5 (pretty sure) have added a picture of the same car as mine (not mine) to the bottom of this post.

Can anyone confirm it's the central locking and if it's not too cheeky post a link to the part on ebay.

Many thanks in advance!

Can supply reg if that helps.

Just had a bit more of a look at it and have found Y1L12-BCL etched into the door lock as viewed with the door open and a picture (if it helps) of the lock.
