Car mats?

Featured Replies

I think its pretty bad there are no mats as standard in the new fiesta! Really annoying you buy a brand new car in the 21st century and they leave them out!

Can i get them cheap online or am i only going to be able to get them from ford parts?

I think it is bad you spend that amount of money on a car and they don't provide mats.

My dealer is providing them free of charge as well as a free tank of fuel, mud flaps etc.

I'd say you want some free. If not, I have a set of fiesta mats from the mk6 which came out of my mums old car (she saved them for me incase mine didnt have any) you could have for a small price? (much less than ford would charge anyway!!!)

You have a generous dealer, Pooh, all we got was a free set of rubber mats and £10 worth of Diesel. The cloth 'fiesta' logo mats came with the car!

Yeah, they could've at least gave you some rubber mats to keep the floor clean, for all it would've cost them, compared to what you've spent, you need them in this weather especially!! We took out our cloth ones till it dries up some!

Good luck with your Dealers! :)

As far as I'm aware, they are only standard on the Titanium.

Quite right Keith, that's what the Fiesta brochure says anyway.

Pooh Bear's dealer has been very generous, I'm getting £20 fuel, no mud flaps, and I am fairly sure no car mats. I've seen some genuine one's on the well known auction site though. Will just need to use my Ka mats till I get the Fez one's.

I signed the deal on the understanding I got free mats, full tank of fuel, superguard kit (OH is a valeter so could apply it professionally).

I have the fiesta rubber mats they are really nice!!! Like them better than the carpet ones.

I signed getting :bluetooth, mud flaps, free tank of petrol, mats and parking sensors, all free :) My dealer loves me though, and they lost my car!! xx

Those carpet mats, photographed by Nipz, are just the "Standard" grade, not the Velour, which are twice the price.

I know this, as I have just bought a new set of velour ones for my 8 month old Mk 6 Zetec Climate, and the standard set will be stored in the garage for an eternity.

I paid £50, compared to the £25 for a standard set, in the Nov '07 price list. ( I should have been charged more, but my Father worked at that dealership for decades, and I still have a fuel account with them ).

The velour ones are cut-pile, with large "FIESTA" embroidering. Both the front mats come with DIY floor fixings, but the standard set only had the driver's one fixed down, by 2 neat plastic wing-nuts, -- no plastic straps, and the driver had a "pretend" heel-pad, being just some stitching, with no double layer of carpet. The velour ones don't have heel-pads, but are genuine cut-pile, not loop-pile, as the standard ones are.

I've just bought rubber ones from the ford parts website.

I ordered the interior pack, which wasn't fitted. So I'm left without any mats as well. I'll look online for some. I think ford are saving where they can to pay for the other luxuries.

No temp gauge

No car mats

No spare wheel

No car jack

As for the easy fuel cap, whats stopping someone buying the "special" plastic tube (the She wee) you use for a petrol can and syphoning all your petrol.

eh?? where is this arm thing that holds the drivers mat in place?? Do I have one?? lol

I blagged some free mats off my dealer too :)

The arm thing comes out of those semi cut rectangular bits? I was wondering where i was meant to fix my mats. good thing I didn't try and screw them into the carpet!

What's the metal pole in the bottom of your rear carpet pic? It looks like it's on the door side.

That'll be a seat belt rail I think - depending on whether you have a 3 or 5 door, you could have them or not...

fair enough not to get them on the base model where they need to keep costs down as the headline 'Prices From' model but as you go up the models then mats should be provided getting better and better the higher up the specs you go

Ahh, I have the 5 door so it probably isn't on my model. Then again, I haven't spent much time sitting in the back.

You can get all sorts of tailored car mats for the Mk7 on the internet, I got a set of velour mats off ebay and they're just like the official mats minus the Fiesta text (which I don't like) and about £25!

What about these mystical metal arms to hold the mats in place, where can I get these?

You mean the plastic ones in my picture?

Best to speak to your local dealers parts about them. Sure they wont be that much.
