Oh, I guess it doesn't then. i'm sure I've seen a photo of the alloy pedal set where there was an alloy foot rest as well. That foot rest is a god send! Nothing like giving my clutch foot a relaxing stretchy rest.

Is there anywhere that sells a foot rest mat, or am I the only one that wants one?

I must correct my statement of last night, about the standard Ford carpet-mats having neat individual fixings, as I checked today ( the velour ones are not yet fitted ), and I found that Ford's cheap £25 set of 4, use the pictured plastic straps to secure just the driver's mat.

The velour set, which I collected just last Friday, fixes both front mats, using the same 4 straps, which come in the package. The holes in the mats are lined with oval plastic mouldings, rather then the circular ones on the basic mat under my feet today. ( The fixings were in a self-seal bag inside the wrapping of the front pair of mats, which can be bought separately, and instructions on a single sheet of paper. The floor covering is already prepared for you to instal the fixings, with the aid of one screw each, like a rawl-plug to spread the bit that pokes thro' the hole in the steel sheeting below the front of the seats. )

P.S. the rail in the photo is the rear of the passenger's N/S seat slide, on a 3-door car.

My standard cheap set of mats are coarse fibre, not exactly loops, but certainly nowhere near the "Axminster" quality of the cut-pile "Velour" set, which is similar to the grade of the 4 sets of Toyota mats I have long experience of, since 1994. They were easy to clean using my "Aquavac".
