Alarm/immobiliser

Featured Replies

just got myself an 04 plate fiesta LX...

could somebody tell me if its got a factory alarm/immobiliser ?

central locking is playing up via fob...

dunno if its fob/battery etc

cheers guys :P

If you open your car just by using the key and open the door but dont do anything else if you have an alarm after a couple of seconds you will hear a beep followed by the alarm.

Well thats how I checked my car had one and it was working. Then just use the fob to turn the alarm of.

If you have any flashing LED's on the dash then you most likely have an alarm.

I believe that you should at least have an immobiliser.

is your key a fixed key with a little chip in the top edge? if its a remote key, open the car, take the remote off then try to start the car with just the key bit (keep the remote well out of the way) if the car starts you have no immobiliser, if it doesnt, then you do :)
