Had a mooch. No sign of being unplugged or not connected properly. Some reason the sockets being very temprimental about whats plugged into it n what position.

Nice work so far m8, can you remember what bulbs you used for the front footwells to give the light a better spread?

i really like everything you have done with your car mate. i have that horrible gap too where did you get the cover from and was it expensive. i think it would be better if that was transformed and covered too. i am going to get pedals the ones you mentioned ebay no longer have but i have seen some others for ten quid

what gap are you on about dude and what cover? do you mean the bonnet insulation?

theres usually loads on ebay but people call them that many things its hard to know what to search for. most people call them a garage door but search that on ebay and you'll draw a blank

I have a dark grey MK2 one spare from where I fitted a RS one.

Seeing that your car is a 2008 (Mk2.5?) one I'm assuming that you don't have a 12 volt socket in the cubbyhole area?

If so a MK2.5 tray is required as it doesn't have a socket space that would look silly without a socket in it.

Mine was registered end jan 2008 and yeah I do have the socket in would the one you have not fit mate?

Mine would fit your car then, you just need to pull out the existing lighter socket, pop up the gear surround/console top and slot the unit in remembering to reattach the wiring.

Another small benefit is that you will find a spare wire taped to the lighter socket loom which illuminates the ashtray and lighter socket too.

If Sal hasn't got one spare then I would part with mine for £20 plus postage.

Cars looking great pal, well done. I have a black mk2 titanium too and your thread has provides some much needed inspiration ;) Quick question though, are the bulbs for the halos changeable? Possible to fit whiter bulbs?

been away from the forums for a while due to work and family commitments and a hell of a lot of stress

because of this i've had no mod progress to post for a while due to not having time to mod. plus my photobucket keeps reaching its bandwidth allowance so my build thread is currently down

recently i have managed to carry out a couple of modifications

the first one was replacing the standard 12v power socket in my dash storage compartment for atwin usb socket. tis so much better for me sat nav as some reason before there was a very bad connection and sat nav would not charge. now it works beautifully.

an added and surprise bonus was that it already had a built in blue led. spot on

the next mod was wiring in the illuminated gear knob (thanks to clive). it does go really well with my submarine lighting at night

and the last mod i've done for now as my early xmas present from moynul

the blad led tail lights

they look proper sweet and bright at night

side lights

brake lights

brake lights + hazzards
