From what I've read, cheap custom ones might not have as good quality bends as a branded like milltek, and therefore free up less power. The resonated milltek is the quieter, but about £100 more expensive, the non resonated is a lot louder and raspier. I'd want the quieter one but 549 for a backbox is steep so I've been looking at custom ones.

My mongoose one is only around £350 and sounds really nice!

I'm nt really bothered about sound more about performance so will miltek be best

100 and 125 ps are different as they have different turbos, and as to exhausts I have a miltek decat and that without the rest of the exhaust makes a huge difference!

The mongoose exhaust did improve power but your never going to get amazing gains from a 120ps engine even with a full decat 3" custom your talking 5-8hp gains. The cat back I've got gave me about 4-5 hp gains, it's hard to really define though as I had my remap done, exhaust fitted and induction kit all installed in quite a short time scale. All together I'm just nudging 150ps, I'm waiting on an intercooler and reconfiguration of the map but hoping to get to about 155-160hp.

Like the sound of that one to be fair. The miltek is a bit well chavy sounding ha reminds me of some of the kids with their be polo around here ha I like a deeper subtle sound not loud unless I'm full throttle. Ian who I spoke to when getting my remap at superchips was telling me about a cai kit hes developing with another company for the fiesta so looking forward to see that then will probably get the exhaust done afterwards

The decat on the standard exhaust isn't that loud surprisingly, but you feel the difference, can wheels spin it all the way to the limiter in second with traction control on ha ha

The induction kit is from finsport, I'm looking at having an airtec intercooler fitted.

Harry I'd suspect the wheelspins probably as a result of the turbo boosting low down. Not that I've attempted this.

What's the 1.0 Ecoboost engine sound like standard, is it a nice sound ?

That is a superb increase, although the wife has a 125 im guessing the end figure may be around the same. cant wait.

Nope, all good. They sorted the issue pretty quick and done a few miles on it now in mixed conditions and nothing but good things.

Ignore my last comment. So I've just called up superchips and have got my car booked in for the 6th February, they apparently only need it for the day rather than a few days unlike Domonic because it has already been in progress they just haven't had a car to test it on. They said I was the first customer to enquire, which was odd as I thought somebody would have approached them! So I can report back on the 6th Feb for those who have the 125ps model.
