New Focus Mk2.5 Owner

Featured Replies

Hey guys, proud new Ford owner ;)

I picked up a Focus MK2.5 last Friday off gumtree (alarm bells I know). :D

Despite my hesitance it was a genuine guy selling for a genuine reason. I got a 5 year old car in great condition, no adverse history, 48k on the clock, just serviced and MOT'd, Tax till Nov, enough paperwork to sink a ship, and mechanically sound.

Paid £4400 for it. Very happy to be honest, smooth engine, drives great and looks very nice, definitely prefer the MK2.5 facelift to the standard MK2.

Only issue is the front driver/passenger tinted windows which are definitely not legal, so getting those removed before I get in trouble with the Popo.

Hopefully the pictures show up, but happy to be part of the Ford club after coming from the dark side (VW) ;)

Ben

Welcome to the family!

You have just got yourself an excellent steal at that price! - so what was the genuine reason for sale? you have to ask yourself the question :p

Hehe, yeah I had about £5000 saved up so swooped on it as soon as I saw it. Had already spent about £80 on hpi checks beforehand on several other cars.

The guy selling it had just bought a BMW, so the focus was surplus. Think he wanted the money from the focus to go towards his insurance for the Beemer, considering he lives in London and is still in his twenties lol.

lmfao in that case, the insurance probably will cover him for a month :P

Hi welcome :)
