Ford Focus 2005 Central Locking Problem

Featured Replies

Hi all. I have just purchased a Ford Focus 2005 1.8 TDCI. I can use the key to get into the car but the central locking is not working. I have a key fob for the car and when i press the fob i can hear the the central locking box in the foot well clicking.

I have checked all fuses

I have oiled and WD'd the lock on the door and the central locking unit

also the boot release catch is not working from inside of the car

Have you tried re-programming the key?

all fuses ok

i can not fined the box to reprogram it pic my help me if any one has some

no i did not not press a buttan on the key fob after i terned it 8 times i new there was some thiing i did not do lol

Insert the ignition key and turn from position II (Ignition) to position 0 (All off) and back four times within three seconds.

Remove the ignition key.

The locking control system is now in "learn mode" for the next 20 seconds and you should hear a chime to indicate this.

During the 20 seconds press one of the transmitter buttons.

The remotes signal and code number is learned by the locking module and is indicated by another chime.

Wait until learn mode times out (20 seconds) or switch the ignition back to ON
