Engine Error - P0238 Error Code

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Own a 58 Plate Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI and experiencing problem when travelling over 80 mph

When doing so get engine error on dashboard, took car to a friend who's a Junior Mechanic and he plugged his diag kit in for me and it reported the following

P0238 - Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit High

Now reading up this could be loads of things, I have taken it to two garages now and both couldn't give me a definitive answer and I am loath to take to them or another garage till I can get more advice.

Its important to note when the error comes up on dashboard, I can take foot off accelerator a bit and it will then go over 80 and up to 100+, appears to be when revs are high when I put foot down a bit.

Would appreciate any advice you can give.

Dan
