Ok first I'm sorry for jumping straight in and not introducing myself, I will soon just beefing for help ATM,

Exhaust fell off at the manifold mid pipe flange, was fixed with expoxy putty. Now all I can smell is burnt popcorn. I don't know what it is or where its coming from but is is strong.

I need help, please! No smoke anywhere, no noise, just this horrible smell.

Id say its the epoxy thats smelling if thats the only thing been done to it.

Is epoxy known for this smell? Its a sickening smell and one that I can still smell just thinking about it.

It can smell pretty funky, yeah. And the exhaust system does get quite warm.

Definitely sounds like the issue is the resin. If you cant stand it, the best thing to do is get yourself to a scrapyard and source a new setup! it will be much cheaper than a dealer job!

Id go with James's suggestion of replacing rather than bodging.

There may be a chance that this stuff is poisonous to breath in.

I would suggest that the raw product itself is an irritant at best, breathing in its fumes (as its not intended to be vapourised in any way shape or form, however the heat is causing particles to seperate and be carried out), its best to get it replaced ASAP and drive it as little as possible, in case the product is in fact poisonous...

Check the label and ensure it doesnt have any limitations or suggestions to its poisonous state,,,
