Focus Zetec S

Featured Replies

I have a 2012 ford focus 1.6 petrol zetec s the one in my avatar and ive owned it from new it is ten mounths old it over heated and blew up on me for no reason, It was fixed under warranty and their excuse was ''it must have been a faulty coolant pipe or something''!!! That is the first problem ive ever had with a ford and this is my 3rd brand new focus, Ive had an 06 zetec no problems ive had a 09 zetec no problems and i put big miles on the 09 one and ive had this one and its the worst one ive had and to top it all of its starting to shutter when im taking off which probley means the flywheel is on its way out and theres only 9000 miles on it £21,000 down the tubes. Ive always drove fords but i think this will be my last :(

P.S.

Does anyone know of anymore problems with these ?

Sounds like you are having a pretty rought time with it, but I've not heard of these as common problems.

Provided it is all being fixed under warranty its not money down the drain though?

Yea they suffer from over heating i typed it into google and alot has come up and £21,000 for a brand new car and it over heats and blows up is money down the drain in my eyes !

1.6 Ecoboost is still a fairly new engine. With any luck any problems you get they will know how to fix and as it is done under warranty you should be sorted in no time.

Could always have a moan and see if you can get any freebies from Ford :D

You technically could try returning the car as not fit for purpose if it continues to be a problem?
