Ford Focus 1.6 Petrol Titanium 2008

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Should my focus have a engine cover on.. There's a point on the rocker cover where it looks like one should be on there and a few fixing points near the front of the rocker where I think it should have one as well.

Engine code - hwda / hwdb

Thanks

Not all cars have them as standard, although the fitments are there. You can buy a cover from your local dealership and just drop it in place. Normally costs around the £60 mark if I remember correctly?

I had a 2010 Focus Titanium , and that did not have a cover.

Does it really need one?

Nope. It doesn't appear that any of the Mk2.5 1.6 petrol engines had the cover on. All or most of the diesels did though.

Don't see much point then?

keeps it tidy but bears no physical benefit being on there.may quieten the engine noise a little bit but not by a great margin!
