my focus cranks but takes a while to start and sometimes cuts out straight after starting

anyone have idea what it could be or how to fix

    get a battery test done for free and check its the right battery ie a silver calcium one not lead acid after that you have a choice of idle control valve or collapsed vacume hose usually its the idle control valve once the cars running rev up to 1500rpm then let it fall it should drop below 700 slightly then up to 700 if it drops further down and bounces slightly its the idle control
