Hissing From Brake Pedal

Featured Replies

When I press the brake pedal engine running I can hear a hissing of air noise from the brake pedal area. I can't say ice ever heard/noticed it before. The pedal gets hard as normal with the engine off. Braking is fine.

Just baffling me to what it is ?

Only thing I've done on the car is the front pads and discs a few weeks back maybe three weeks roughly.

Have you checked over the brake hoses? I did mine and i had a leak on the rear hose. Cant say I heard anything when it happend but mite be worth a look.

a hiss from the pedal area isnt unusual it prevents too much air i think from being in the system when youre braking but dont actually need to my mk1 did it and was checked out as all okay no leaks etc
