Im Leaving Guys But,,,,,,,

As the title says, im leaving,,, but on the plus side, im only going to be a click away on the FIESTA page,,,, all going well I should be the owner of a 2009 1.6tdci titanium fezza by the end of the week. My focus served me well, and will always hold a place in my heart, but the urge for something with less mileage got the better of me, and I dropped on this one with FSH and just 49k on the clock. Being the titanuim model im not going to lose any of my comforts, if anything there is more on this than my focus, sporting 16' alloys, built in bluetooth, front and rear parking sensors, auto lights/wipers, power fold mirrors, keyless entry, with the funky start button etc etc. In metallic black, it looks shiny. So would just like to thank anyone who has offered advice on here, and im glad to have been able to offer my assistance to others. Its a great club, and your a great bunch of guys/gals.

Don't know if this is the right place because i've never had need to advertise anything on here, but as my car is going in PX, i've removed a few things that I will no longer need. They are as follows

1. JVC KW-AV60BT Double DIN Touch Screen DVD AV Receiver with bluetooth Hands Free,,,, this radio is all singing, all dancing, cost me £240, with this I also have the fitting kit for a mk2 Focus, and also the patch lead to keep the stalk controls. Look it up on eBay for full spec, but there isnt much it doesn't do. Plays dvd's, rear USB, front AUX, No box, but all in perfect working order,,, offers welcome.

2. Heko wind deflectors, for a 5 door,,, in good condition, obviously used, but no bad marks.

3. Garage door, currently wrapped in 3M bubble free carbon wrap.

4. A Haynes Manual that covers the Diesel Mk2 focus,,, usefull bit of kit.

All of the above is just going to sit and gather dust, so thought I'd ask here before listing on eBay.

Cheers guys. Mike.

Cheers lenny,,, is this a wise thing to do straight away ? I did the focus, but that was a 1.8 ?

Yes I'd recommend doing it as soon as possible mate,

Keep your inlet clean aswell as prolong the life of your turbo,

Also is it really worth blanking the EGR cause from what i read the benifits are minimal?

Less than 5 pounds for a good blanking plate that won't break through over time (Stainless Steel)

Increased MPG will pay for itself,

Absolutely no exhaust waste gasses recirculating in to your induction chamber,

Cleaner oil as result of this clean air induction.

Increased turbo spool time because 100% of exhaust gas is running through the manifold instead of the initial 80%

Increased exhaust gas speed also helps the dpf passively clean itself without using eloys fluid for forced regeneration.

All fact from my own personal experience after egr blanking my 1.6TDCi

Don't knock it till you try it, I'm saving money as result of fitting but I can't save everyone's ford, I can only advise on personal experience and make best efforts to prolong the life of my own.

Seems quite useful then. I would do anything for that extra MPG :P

Mines a 1.8 so dont need to worry about DPF

I will defo look into doing it but whenever i try fixing my owns cars things get worse lol

blank it i say, if your EGR is already clean then you probably wont notice a difference, i noticed it being slightly smoother at lower revs. before sometimes the car used to stall when cold when i pulled off traffic lights, never happened once blanked, and no EML either :) and stops the engine from getting any more gunk

Just ensure you get a plate that is made from stainless steel and no hole in the centre,

You have a 1.8TDCi so your egr location is easier to work with,

You don't need to remove panels etc.

And fitting

Just loosen the two bolts then slide in the plate , tighten up again.

This seller has installation pictures

Hi guys, I would take 15 for the garage door, plus whatever the postage is,,,, not really clued up on posting things ? Same goes for the wind deflectors 15 plus the postage ? Not sure how I'd pack the wind deflectors though as the are light, but quite bulky and I'm new to this haha.

Give me your bank account number and I'll lodge in the cash, promise.

Then give me your address so as I can return item if unhappy,

I'll get our D.O.B off your profile then I'm 90% there lol

It pays to be self educated on PayPal even when paying for goods,

Do not send the payment as a "gift" because if the seller doesn't send the item then yo have no come back.

Just some advice there since you posted about lack of knowledge using PayPal,

Tends to attract those more than happy to instruct you on sending money.

Pay pal is no problem, I'd just need the email address linked to your PayPal.

My address should the show on the receipt for payment

Didn't intend my previous post to offend anyone,

Just felt the need to inform that the non genuine do join the forum, and tried to buy alloys from me once,

Sometimes easy to forget when were all part of the friendly forum.

Thankfully I've not had any of those issue yet. But it's always a worry when buying/selling online.
