Focus 1.8Tdci 2003 Dont Like Reving Over 3000-3500

Featured Replies

hi, my focus 1.8 tdci seems to have a problem. drives fine accept only revs to about 3000 and its like a limiter cuts in. it sometimes goes right to the red line but is hesitates all the way from about 3500-5000. anyone had the same problem. its had a recent service and problem as been there for a long time. engine light is not on.

Hi mate, question does it hesitate on acceleration. Check the turbo charger

no, its pulls in lovely to 3000

when it was serviced did they change the fuel filter and was it for a ford one?

I mean hesitate after 3000, like when you put your foot on pedal after 3000
