New Clutch: Noise When Stationary

Hi I wonder if anyone could help me with a problem.

I had a new clutch fitted about 2 weeks ago, since then Ive noticed that there is a 'chattering' noise when idleing which disappears when the clutch peddle is depressed fully. its hard to notice the noise when the car is moving due to the noise level of the engine. at first I thought it might be a bedding in noise but it seems quite loud and isnt improving. There was no noise like this before the new clutch so I dont think its the bearings.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Neil

I know what I would do,take it straight back and tell them it never did it before and you are not happy about it?

When in neutral, I depress the clutch, sounds fine. I bring I up in neutral to the bite. I hear a change in tone.

I presumed This is normal. Not sure if your experiencing the same thing. Thought I'd post anyhow.

A whirring noise is normally audible in neutral on fiestas and focus. This is more or less peculiar to these models. Rattling or chattering is a bit different. What make of clutch was fitted? (It should be LUK or Sachs)

the fiesta and focus as said above are well known for this odd noise the ford guy let me hear 3 cars all the same with the same noise and said as far as he knows its a characteristic of the car at one point they had so many in that ford sent a specialist up and he said they all do that as above as long as its not rattling but just a whirring noise its okay
