Hi, I'm Paul from Prestwick in Ayrshire. I just got a 2003 Black Ford Focus 1.8 16v Zetec last week.

This is only the 5th car I have had since I passed my test in 1991. I had a 1988 Escort for 5 years, then a 1993 Escort for 7 years then a Sierra Sapphire for a year then I moved to a Renault Megane Coupe for 9 years.

After having my Focus for a week I have taken off the Focus and 1.8 and Zetec badges. I got some 16v badges from Ebay and put them on.

I have used lots of T-cut scratch remover as it was a lot of bad scratches on it and I also used Mer polish, been doing this all weekend.

I got my old trusty Alpine stereo fitted this weekend and I am waiting for speaker adapters so I can fit my speakers which i removed from my old Megane as they are only 6 months old. Got a few other bits n pieces coming from Ebay and Amazon too. Playtime :-)post-46333-0-23484800-1377461848_thumb.j

Thanks Dan, the 2nd Escort was the only one i never modified in any way. I usually like to change wee things here and there to personalise the look of my cars. Hoping to get some rear lexus lights for my Focus next month :D

Dont we all. The fiesta ive got just now is only my second car but its the first ive modded in anyway but I feel ive made it my own :) hoping to have a new car in the next 6 months or so though. How did you get on with the mer polish is it any good?

Yes, the Mer polish is excellent. The car has a lot of cosmetic scrapes and scratches so done all the worst areas with the Tcut scratch remover and done the full car with the Mer Ultimate Polish so it's very shiny right now, very easy to apply and remove. Also got Rain X for the windows :-)

I used Rain X about ten years ago on my Sierra Sapphire and it was superb, I never knew they still made it until I seen it in Halfords the other day. I bought the Mer polish purely on the strength of the Amazon reviews. I am waiting for my Mer car shampoo to arrive this week. I am still in new car mode - getting lots of stuff for it

Haha you dont half spend a fortune on a new car where did you grt your mer polish from?

Hi and welcome Paul

Cheers mate might order some when I get paid on Thursday
