Changing Mk2 Estate Rear Washer Jet

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

Does anyone know if you can change over the rear washer jet on the estate to a mist/spray type one?

Only I changed the fronts to the heated misted type a while back, and thought about doing the same for the rear.

I guess the idea is, the rear wiper is supposed to spread the jet of screen wash across the rear window after a couple of passes.

I find that by the time I've managed to clean the glass after several attempts, the tailgate is covered in screen wash as well.

My wife's 500 has a mist type washer jet (which got me thinking), and works brilliantly - a clear screen with no mess!

Any ideas??

i dont think you can mate but im struggling to remember how the estate works with the washer ive only fixed one and that was a burst pipe a long time ago it may be possible but you would have to source a mist jet from another car that would fit as i dont think ford or ebay sell them specifically i know what you mean about having to spray it a few times to get it all clean

I think its embedded into the rear unit, so you would need to replace the entire thing IIRC
