Milky Colour Front Fog Lights

Featured Replies

I just got my 2003 Focus 1.8 a fortnight ago and when I was washing it I noticed the front fogs were a weird colour. Kind of milky white streaks but it looks like the inside. Is this normal? Can it be fixed ? Does it affect performance ? Will I need to get new fog lamps to replace them? :(

could be just condensation build up.

Is this likely to vanish if I use the lights more ?

if its condensation, more thank likely yes. In alot of cases the headlights and fog lights have small holes (often with a rubber tube point down from them) at the back of them to allow air in an out. The idea is it lessens the risk of condensation.

If you can get under neath the car and have a look at the back of the fog light there may be a breather hole. If there is, have a look and see if it is blocked.
