yep the quality of the images are crap.

ooooh nice! thats awesome, (especially in that colour)

much better than the standard diffuser which i dont know why seems to have less of a visual impact than on the previous mk7's?

Did you get it from Europeanparts like E5GDM ? Does it add onto the zs diffuser ? or is it a complete replacement ?

Want to get it but how hard is it to fit ?

Looks good! I like that colour too. Are the pipes different lengths? The outside one looks longer than the other.

Looks good. As above, what are the parts (diffuser and exhaust)? Is it the oem st diffuser?

Laurence - Thanks and i agree, i think it was the worst thing on the car (appearance wise).

Nathan - E5GDM advised this to me. So i got it from European Car parts.

Link: http://www.european-parts.net/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/1488

Its a complete replacement.

Came within 2 days - got it professional sprayed copper pulse to match.

Very easy to fit (the diffuser itself) (once you have sourced self tappers in stainless of a 7mm size (took me all day to source).

Simply clips in the same, then you use the two previous holes from the original diffuser to use self tappers, padded washers ect.

MartynS - You are right the exhaust lengths are different - i went for a staggered exhaust ( the pics dont do it much favours)

The exhaust i simply got a stainless one - in which i plan to replace every year with a newer one (stainless still goes a bit shabby after a while).

Heres the link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolled-Twin-3-inch-T304-S-S-Offset-Tailpipe-Exhaust-Rear-Back-Box-Staggered-Tip-/320773975850?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aaf9e6f2a

You do have to obviously take some size off the exhaust pipe by levelling it up and then find an exhaust tip in which will fit desired specification.

As i say - i had a bit of help with mine which made it a damn sight easier.

Looks good :)

Damn.. so tempted to do this but it makes me feel poor for not being able to buy the ST

Looks great, how much did it cost all together?

About £230 all in for me-

Yeh about the same for me as well.

I didnt replace mine to look like the ST. I replaced mine as i think the back end of the zs is just cheap and nasty.

20 years old with ST insurance - No thanks.

Is this something you have to declare on the insurance? Heavily considering this now.

You 'should' declare everything to your insurance company. I doubt it would make much, if any difference though.

Right.

Is this something that a garage could do? Theres a spray shop down the road that does bodywork too, or would I need to source the screws too? I'm absolutely crap with cars so wouldn't have a CLUE what I'm doing.

I'm thinking if I just order it and chuck it to them they can spray it and fit it.

And then theres the exhaust.. no idea what I'm doing with extending it and getting it to pop out below the diffuser.. christ almighty

YES you 'should' declare to your insurance.

But you ' should' do many things in life.

Like stick to 70mph on the motorway.

A high majority do not.

Hope that clarifies that one.

Just be careful what garage is spraying it. Your colour code is on your drivers door frame / sil.

The exhaust you simply have to level up by trimming back and fit a trim exhaust to fit your needs.

Any good body shop will do it, probably cost nearer £400 though.

But If I can do it....anyone can :)

I put up how I done it on a previous thread.

Think I'll give them a ring and see what I can do.

Can you post a link to the guide? Just tried looking through your topics and there werent any
