Featured Replies

I recieved an email back from super chips (blue fin) yesterday:

Here it is

Dear Dan,

Thank you for your enquiry.

We still need to finalise the mapping before a remap can be released for the Fiesta 1L 125 EcoBoost. A release date has yet to be confirmed.

We will keep your details on record so that we can notify you when a bluefin becomes available.

You can of course check on the www.mybluefin.co.uk for updates.

Kind regards,

Sales

It looks like it may be a while before a remap can be possible. =(

Yeah but there might be some other company that offer a remap there are some people on here that have had there's done in the Netherlands I think

You should be able to get a custom remap done but there's no guarantee how good it it will be and no going back if it destroys your engine at least with superchips and mountune you get 12 months guarantee and they do a lot of testing before releasing a package to make sure it's safe

There's a few places in the midlands that offer a remap and if u don't like it after 8 days to 2 weeks you can take your car back in and they will set it back to factory

Quite a few companies remapping now, Celtic Tuning for example.

It'll be good to see how much of an effect a super chip will have, especially upon a 1 litre engine. I thought Ford done a quality job squeezing out every bit of bhp from these ecoboost engines but I look forward to seeing what capabilities these potentially have!

With a remap you're looking at about 140 - 150bhp depending on company.

I'm hoping to get mine done as soon as I get a decent exhaust system fitted

Just like most cars, are we looking to uprate the intercooler and if so where can we get one from?

I too emailed Superchips and they too said it's coming but that was months ago.

I would rather wait for super-chips or other companies alike with guarantee, than going to somewhere which could potentially alter the car for the worst.

Superchips have said they are currently still involved largely with the ST models. Only then will they map for zs.

I would be more than happy with 140BHP.

Im certainly not in any major rush to get it done, considering my cars only done 1600 miles.

Im quietly watching in the background, interested in how these engines will cope when higher mileages come into effect. 125bhp from a 1ltr engine is good in standard form, but I wonder if they will actually stand the test of time and go on forever (if well maintained) like engines should, or problems will start arising as they clock up the miles ??? All of this in standard form, without a remap.
