Difficulty Engaging Gear When Cold Mk1

Featured Replies

Hi,I'm new to this forum so bear with me,guys.

I've got a 53 plate focus 1.6 Ghia,i have difficulty engaging gear when the car is cold, especially 1st and reverse.I've recently had a new clutch fitted, any suggestions ?

Moved to Focus section.

Has it only been doing since the clutch change? When was the gearbox oil last changed?

in cold weather the mk1 did this sometimes its due to new gearbox oil which is quite thick when cold it should engage easily after a few gearchanges if in doubt take it back and explain that the clutch fluid may need to be rebled
