Dash Board Auto Test Runs At Each Start...

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I recently bought a year 2000 Focus 1.8 petrol.

Recently the car started running the dash board auto cheek at every engine start: when ever I start the engine all gages rotate to the scale end and then go back to normal position.

No warning lights stay on afterwords.

Is this indicative of an electrical problem?

Thanks for your help,

Alan

I'd check the battery, that's usually a sign it's on the way out.

Defo one of the signs that your battery are living it's last days.

Hi there,

You were both right. Yesterday, on a lovely Sunday morning, the battery died!!! Fortunately the dealer where I got the car is a nice person and came to replace it..

Thanks for your help,

Alan

small and subtle hints that the car can throw out are very handy, such hints as these are invaluable!
