Mk7 Radio Issues ???

Featured Replies

As the topic says,,, my radio has started playing silly games. After starting the car, it sometimes stays on the 'ford audio' logo, and before it will work I need to turn it off then on again. Then today it did the same, but froze to the extent it wouldn't powder down with the button,,,, most buttons wouldn't work except the phone one. And I had to turn off the engine and restart before the radio would play anything. Anyone have any suggestions ??? Cheers, Mike.

Lots of folks on here have had problems just search for "MK7 radio update" and read some of the threads you will probably need to download an update onto a usb stick to sort it out, good luck.

Already done that mate, did it the first day I got the car coz I'd already read about it. So no idea what it was like beforehand ???

Ahh that's a pity, try a PM to iNath he knows a lot about radio issues.

I would update it if it has USB and unplug battery for 10mins if fault persists ;)

iNath, did the update via USB approx 2 weeks back, only thing I've not done is disconnect the battery. Its an intermittent problem, and hasn't been as bad the last few days. Am I right in thinking these radios DON'T have codes ? As I have a radio code card in my pack, but its actually blank.
