Accelerator Pedal On Zs 7.5

Featured Replies

Checked my accelerator pedal earlier and the silver 'plate' with the rubber bits on it (excuse my bad terminology) seems to have a fair bit of play in it, as in the plate moves side to side quite a bit. Doesnt happen on the brake or clutch. Is there are way to tighten this or is it by design and im over worrrying about it? Thanks :)

My Fiesta and focus are the same. It is just because it is all made from plastic whereas the brake and clutch are metal assemblies.

All to do with the forces you will be applying to the pedals.

same on mine.

Must be ford design,

There is only a slight movement in mine though, nothing to be worried about.

Mine did this, sealed with some tiger seal. Don't know if this was the right thing to do but it never failed on my previous ZS and hasn't so far on the new one :P
