My Focus 1.6 Zetec Se Cambelt Snapped... To Sell As It Is Or Break It???

Featured Replies

My 2003 auto focus 1.6 zetec se cambelt snapped whilst driving. I'm now stuck as to what to do with it. I need to know how much it will be worth as it is to someone and then to decide whether it is worth breaking it and selling parts. It's a great car or was a great car. 83k on the clock, smooth as ice, alloys, tow bar.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome,

Have you had a quote for the repair?

  • Author

No but a couple of mobile mechanics have said they wouldn't do it...

i bought a 1.6l focus. previous owner was quoted £166.75 for replacement cambelt i have all the service history for it. This was back in 2005. do you no if there was any valve contact? forgot to say but ive now broke the car up ive still got loads of parts left but ive made £150 from parts but only bought the focus for £102.
