De-Bonding A Mobile From 1600S Fiesta

Featured Replies

I have just bought a 2011 1600S Fiesta, love it to pieces!!! Just one thing, I don't seem to be able to "de-bond" the previous owners iphone from it!, have looked at many forums but nothing seems to work, pressing the menu button so many times, blah blah, anyone got any ideas....?

So if you go in to the phone menu on your stereo, look at the paired devices and press debond what happens?

It doesn't do a thing, just goes back to the screen where it asks if I want to debond...!? I have heard that you may need the phone nearby so that it debonds...?

You shouldnt need the phone to de-bond

Have you tried bonding your phone to it? It can support more than one.

If you can't bond then the Bluetooth module has probably locked up. It did that on my 2010 Fiesta.

My phone doesn't pick up the Ford's Bluetooth whatsoever....? And yes, the Bluetooth is switch on in the car lol !!

Sounds like the Bluetooth has locked up.

Mine did the same and the dealer updated the software under warranty.

You should still be under the 3yr warranty so I'd take it to your nearest dealer and get them to fix it.
