Can Fordetis Be Out Of Date?

Featured Replies

Hi all just been on Etis for my 1.6 Tdci June 2011.and it says there is an update for the PCM version 1 - 14/08/12 but the list shows all software was was last checked 12/05/11 witch is the Date car was built.

Have asked for update at service told up to date?so if they did update it will this show up on Etis?

It says the following TSB is relevant to this software update. As my car is in TCH Friday for oil leak drive shaft oil seal drivers side? Think I will print this and take it with me on Friday.

Can't see why they can't plug it in and check while it is in for some work, although some dealers can be reluctant to do so.

BTW, where do you see what updates are available? When ever I click on a Software updates link in the modules section is just says, "The information you have requested is not available at this time"

Hi on the first page it was in green on the left But i did use the vin No to log in not Reg as on private plate last time used old reg and nothing was on so it may be this?

Interesting, it is working now, I have this for my 2012 2.0 TDCi. Might have to see if I can get it done - I'd like to know if they can update the steering module too as I have some bad dead spots which my Fiesta never had with electronic steering.

Let us know how you get on.

The following Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is relevant to this Software Update:

Ok so have had a word with Ford Customer Relationship Centre they rang TCH and you have to pay to have this done.So it's old software unless you want to pay.(Same Old Same Old)LOL.

Basically if it ain't broke they won't fix it.

Ford will only install new software if there is a problem with something software related.
