Severe Chip On Bonnet!!! :(

Featured Replies

Something has attacked my bonnet and left a chip in the paintwork that has gone all the way down! Altho very small it's started to rust slightly so I'm a little concerned. Any way it can be touched up with some sort of paint t stop the rust and keep cost down? I'm trading it in again in march so don't want to pay for a full bonnet re-spray :/

Any helpful tips would be great!

I once had a touch up kit that had a very small brush that had bristles made from glass fibre to clean out rust out of chip and key area, a bottle of primer and bottle of paint, was a long time ago and cant remember make but try searching net, it would be ideal.

You can still get those touch up kits ford themselves sell them or eBay if you wanna save a few quid

Go to your Ford dealer and get a touch up kit. it comes with a small metal
bristle brush in the cap. And you'll be sure its the correct colour too..

I would get a white chipstick. My touch up skills tend to make things look worse.

get it done by chip away they are very good.
