spartley
Hi I wonder if anybody can help me I recently bought a ford fiesta and the dealer told me he would send the service book to me in the post, its now 3 months later and still no sign of my service book. Without it, is my warranty still valid? And do I NEED to have it?
iNath
For a warranty claim I'd expect they would want evidence that it's been serviced to schedule. What did they say when you chased them?
spartley
I have phoned the dealership twice and both times I've been told they will send it out to me in the post, I also rang the Smart service number to check that I hadn't missed a service, they took my reg etc and told me it had been serviced just before I bought it and the next one wasn't due until next September. Im just a bit worried that if something does go wrong then I wont be coverered, especially considering I paid for the extended warranty as well. Thankyou for your time
jamesm182
I would just keep on at the dealer. Not something you should have to do really but I'm sure if you go down to the dealership and make a bit of a scene in front of other customers they will be very quick to get you sorted out!! mgaking
If it was from a Ford dealer then possibly contact Ford customer services and see if they can kick the dealer into action.
spartley
Yes it was from a ford dealer, and to be honest I expected better customer service from a company like Ford. I will keep hassling them, but like you said, I shouldn't have to. Thanks guys
GrahamJC
If I were you I would sent a letter by recorded delivery setting out the problems you have experienced. You will then have something in writing rather than just relying on telephone conversations which haven't appeared to have done much good! If you do this, they cannot deny having received it and will hopefully be forced to reply to it.
