Which Obd Port?

Featured Replies

hi guys

does anyone know which type of OBD2 port the Focus uses - so far there are different ones and I'm not sure which one is used in the focus? These are the options available

J1850PWM
J1850 VPW
ISO9141/14230
ISO15765(CAN)

i've found another website: http://www.obdtester.com/obd2_protocols which shows differences in the ports and pins and it appears ours is ISO15765 (CAN)

trying to order a obd2 to micro usb cable so needed to make sure the manufacturer made the right one!

it is the ISO15765(CAN)

CAN Is theCAN is the latest standard, and it was standardised around 2000 - 2004 for all cars. CAN BUS error is a regular fault that can occur if just a sensor goes a little skewey, just confirms the standard.
