Winter Sealant?

I read somewhere that during winter months it's recommended to strip off any wax applied during the summer months and apply a sealant for the winter.

I just wondered if anyone else does this and if so what do you use?

I applied some autoglym HD wax a few months ago, think its about due another coating of something but don't know if I should just reapply this or something else!

Also another question (thought it'd save a new thread!).

What do you recommend for getting polish out of plastic trim?

I've tried autoglym bumper and trim gel, that just hides it temporarily it's just really annoying me now!

    I thing the best thing people have found is peanut oil if you do a quick thread search there's plenty of people with the same problem me included that's for the plastics not a clue about the wax thing as I've always just polished and sealed mine all year it's never been waxed

    I agree with sambooka , I find that peanut butter works for me. Its something to do with. the peanut oil. Just put a bit on a cloth rub it in, leave it for a few mins and remove. You may have to reapply if the polish stain is old/really ingrained.

    Ta, might give that a whirl see how I get on. I suppose if it doesn't work at least I can sit there and eat the peanut butter instead :lol:
