Front Bumper/spoiler Snow Query

Just pondering about the low spoiler/bumper when driving in deep-ish snow. I've got some Continental TS850 winter tyres ready to plough through snow when it comes (best rated winter tyre) but is there a risk of damage/breakages etc when snow starts smacking into the front?

I never had any trouble last year and no damage caused by it hitting the bumper but I would avoid doing it lots as I imaging it will strip your paint doing it for long periods

Thanks for the reply. I do live on a main road which is a priority route for gritters so it's just side streets where deeper snow might be encountered. I used to have a Freelander 2 so that had ground clearance but last January, I encountered snow so deep I could hear it hitting the underside even in that!

I have good winter driving experience so I will always drive appropriately but I am keen to find a quiet road on a housing estate near me to test how easy I can get up a snowy hill. The reviews on my tyres have got me all eager to try them:

I have the same winter tyres and they are brilliant stopping distance is good in them grip is brilliant and the only time I got stuck on a hill was when it was one big sheet of ice I'd have needed spikes to get up it but other than that no problems it's like driving in summer most of the time
