Hi

Im new on here only had my Focus for a week but unfortunately I already have a problem that I need some help with. My car overheated on the motorway last week and after looking and seeing that I wasn't loosing coolant and my fans inside the car were still blowing hot air I thought it was a sensor issue.

I was relieved to read on here that the thermostat and cylinder head sponsor can go occasionally so I brought both of these parts as nether are that expensive.

After reading a lot of posts on the cut sensor and watching a few you tube clips I'm unsure of where it is and how to remove it on my model of Focus. Some its round the back of the engine behind cylinder no 1. Others its on top of the cylinder head in between no2 & 3 spark plugs. Then I saw a you tube clip today of some guy working around the ignition coil area on the right side of the engine.

I think mine is between no2 & 3 spark plugs but if someone could confirm that would be great. Also as it is quite deep and has a wire coming out of it I can't see how u can get a socket (even a deep socket) on it to remove it.

Any advice would be really appreciated. I have attached a pic of where I think it is to help see what I'm talking about.

Sorry forgot to attach the pic. Its the rubber thing in the middle with the wire coming out of it that I can't figure out how to get out.
