Need Central Locking Disconnecting - Help!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

First post to the forum so hoping someone can help! :)

Currently having problems with central locking. When I lock via the keyfob or try turning the key the door will lock then unlock immediately. Took it to the garage an they've quoted £250 to replace drivers side lock mechanism. Obviously I don't want to pay that much lol is there a way of disconnecting the central locking via removing a fuse or disconnecting something so I can just use my key to lock the drivers door bypassing central locking?

At the moment I can't lock it at all which is obviously a concern! Any advice would be appreciated. Booked it in to a different garage next week so if someone has a suggestion I can let the garage know beforehand that'd be great too!

Many thanks

Andy

There should be a fuse you can remove that'll disable it, i'm not sure which one it is though, you may have to go through them in sequence to find it

Thanks guys. Know any good links to some accurate fuse box layout diagrams? Can't seem to find anything decent myself.

Just to confirm - will it be in a fuse in the glove box or engine compartment?

Thanks again!

The fuse for the central locking is behind the glove box, here is a (poor) pic of the diagram of the fusebox......

The fuse you will need to remove is the left most, third from the bottom... As dan62 says F24 (20A)
