Winter Steel Wheels And Or Tyres

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 2009 fiesta titanium 1.4 tdci with standard 16”
alloys fitted. I’m looking to get some wheels from the scappies then get winter
tyres fitted. Anyone know what size I understand they need to be 14” to fit my
car and from what ford models. Also can you recommend a winter tyre?

Thanks in advance.
Regards Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,

Ideal size for winter tyres is 15" radius

You don't have to get them from a ford model specifically,

As long as they are a 4 bolt formation you will be fine.

I would also recommend 15" steel wheels with 195/50/15 tyres. I've found continental to be very good. Last year was my first with Vredestein and also very good brand.

Just be sure I make sure they fit the hub correctly as the weight of the car should not be resting on the wheel bolts/studs

Hi thanks for the info looks like its 15" not 14" as there are so many pcd for bolts and offsets does anyone know form which Ford car will fit. what about winter tyres.

Regards Malcolm

Best I've ever had continental ts850s would recommend to anyone. I fitted mine to 16" standard ford alloys as I bought 17" aftermarket alloys
