Hi all just had a call from TCH Derby to say they have found a Fiesta ZS 1L 4500 miles 6 month old but they want £14400 for it but it has full leather sat nav dab,auto lights,washers,auto dip rear mirror.power fold mirrors auto city stop, parking sensors back and heated seats.it's a black one ,17" wheels +spare .IS THIS TO MUCH TO PAY? off to have a go in it Thursday but it will have to be spot on for that cash.

PS forgot to say key less +power start button think that's it.

Go on to orangewheels web site , you'll probably get a new one for less than that even with the spec you want, only prob is you'll have to go to Guildford to pick it up ( they use think ford of Guildford I bought my 10Lzetec from there)

You have to ask yourself would you use all the extra gear on it? If you will do then yeah its a fair price

It does seem a good price for a high spec but as above will you need/use al that kit? Plus I assume its a demo registered to the dealer and not new?

I always think that with the massive depriciation as you drive out of the showroom that a nearly-new car is always much better value than a new one, ok so its 6-months old and its done 4500 miles, but will that really matter next year or more as you have saved 4-1/2K on the list price - its just a question of weighing everything up - the kit will increase the cars' resale value in the future even if you don't use all of it + you have a fair bit iof warrantee left - the orangewheels price could be used to barter the price down (worth a try anyway)

I'd go for it 17" wheels look better, keyless is cool, sat nav is a good feature to have, your basically getting all these upgrades for no more cost than if you spec'd up a new ZS without them, it will be more desirable when your looking to sell too, I think the price is pretty much bang on but offer them £13,800 see if they'll bite...

Extras dont necessarily increase a cars resale value but , yes it can make it more desirable come resale time , I know what you mean about losing money on a new car though I bought new cos its something I've always wanted to do ( bucket list ) , make them an offer see what happens , if your happy with the deal then go for it.

Hi, new to the forum. This looks a good deal if you use all the options that are fitted on the car. If you do then its a top spec car. The car will be a bit more desirable when you come to sell it.

I have just ordered a new ZS and got a good deal, however, what swayed me against getting 2nd hand was that the finance using Ford was so much cheaper than buying used were the APR is at a higher rate.

So if you are buying with cash then offer a bit below their asking price and you have a bargain. If going with finance try and use a bank and get the APR down to the lowest you can, or get the dealer to match their new car rate

Just to clarify as its a seconndhand (6-month 4500miles) car i take it these extras are already fitted? - so if you get the car you get the extras and they are not optional ?-

Tony - you can shop around for finance - the finance from Ford on a new car does not offset the initial depreciation - there are advantages in buying a new car and its just a question of weighing it up (someione has to buy new cars - so there is secondhand cars!)

If you look at all the options (buying a new car on HP, lease hire,nearly new car, 3year old car, 5 year old car, running an old banger etc) motoring is expensive no matter what you do but a low milage nearly- new (ex demo etc) car can be a good option/ alternative to a new car

Hi FOCA Yes the car comes with all this kit as fitted from the factory(do you think they will want more for insurance ?)as it will cost more to replace.

Went to have a look yesterday but not going to have it it was a nice car but as it was being run by one of the sales team it was in need of a good clean bit of a scuff on the front near side alley small lump out of same tire no carpets and it was very strange to sit in the car and not see Sony and cruse felt a bit let down but did know this before looking.The last thing was the other half has now said she will not have a 3 door after getting in and out of the back.The engine was great to drive and was showing 49.8 MPG not bad for a sales person.They have new one £499 more with 17" wheels, Privacy Glass, New Car ,Midnight Sky and 16 Tdci wich should cost a bit more than 1L Turbo not to sure of this.They did offer me £8000 for a June 30th Titainum 16 Tdci 24000 miles (Just run in)LOL + I will be the 3rd owner 1st Ford Direct Tch Derby (Used Sales).Price was £14500 so £6500 to change plus £105 for reg change .
