Hi, new to the forum, tho not to Fords in general; the old chap always preached the ways of the good Ford which has kinda rubbed off on me and my brothers :)

Currently in the works is this;

post-47810-0-82778800-1382999880_thumb.j

Finally in paint after waaay too long welding the thing up!

Plus the reason I found here which is a recent purchase a '07 Focus 1.8 Ghia (petrol) picked up for a nominal sum as the previous owner neglected to put oil in it :rolleyes: Another engine would be ideal but I'm struggling a little with the engine codes and what fits what etc. I'm told a Mondeo engine won't do but I'm not sure if any Focus / Cmax 1.8 will do or whether it has to be the same exact code. I found a CSDA but the seller was iffy unsure about supplying it as mines a QQDB :wacko:

Any help with this would be enormously appreciated :)

Welcome to the family James, I have to be honest, your request went over my head and at a stratospheric level, but we have a few guys on here who are mechanics, enthusiasts, and some genius'seses :p

Thanks chaps :)

Yeah, I didn't think it would be quite as complicated as it's turning out to be, it's a world away from chopping and changing lumps in the old 'E and when we used to muck around with old Escorts :D Wouldn't be so bad if it was at my workshop but it's at work. I can't imagine the boss being too impressed to come in Monday morning and find it still strewn across the workshop cos I've got the wrong engine lol

lol, that is true, nothing like a mood killer than a peeved boss :p

Welcome to the Forum. Looking forward to seeing some photos of the Prefect/Popular when its done. Saw a nice one a few weeks ago with a V8 in it.

As far as your engine goes it listed as a 2008 to 2011 model engine here which suggests you have a Mk2.5 Focus. It may be that if yours is a late Mk2 it got the first of the Mk2.5 engines.

Good luck with both projects
