I would use what it says, auto data lists 10w 40 as an alternative, so sure it would be ok, would prob want to change it more frequently tho

Nice 1.more questions shall follow thanks again

the autodate i have says 5W30,with no mention of synthetic or a 10w40 alternative.

As it's winter 5W30 will help with cold starts 10W40 will slow the cranking speed on a very cold morning.Go for the best oil you can a You can get a service at Ford for £99 car over 3 years old.

On the subject of oil, I have 2 litres of Total Quartz 5W30 oil which I bought to top up the oil on my Peugeot and would like to know if this would be suitable for topping up the oil on the Fiesta. It has written on it Low Emission Performance, Synthetic technology!

Thanks in advance

Following my last post I went to the parts department where I bought my car and was told the correct oil for my Fiesta EcoBoost 125 is E 5W-20.
