Trim Removal

Featured Replies

Hi guys I want to remove all the cheap silver trim in my car and spray it white.

I did my fiesta and removed it all easy. The focus seems tightly done and I think some parts are glued.

Any help or redirection to another thread will help cheers.

Ive already sprayed the circle trim round my dials and the aux/usb cluster and it looks class.

The middle silver bit where the speedo is seems to to glued any ideas on that?

For the rest I have attached some pics.

never thought about doing that! I'm going to buy some colour coded paint for my car and now youve said about doing this it has got me thinking i might do the same. Not sure if it would look any good in blue though? was also thinking about chrome instead of brushed aluminium effect. hopefully you will get some replies soon as to how to remove them and then i might have a go myself.

thanks for the great idea!!

Hi! I've just bought my 54 plate Focus and noticed the previous owner must have taken the rear speakers out, it's driving me crazy only having use of my front speakers! could you please help with how to remove the door panels please? I've just had a look and couldn't see any 'obvious' way of doing it but it must be possible if they took them out I guess.
Many thanks

Usually with door trim its clipped. Just have to feel around with a flathead til you hit a clip but im sure someone here will be able to help you better

Okay, hopefully someone on here will know but I'll take a flat head to it tomorrow see if you're right! Thanks

Sent from my VS TOUCHTAB 7DC using Ford OC mobile app

Insert a blunt flat blade tool/screwdriver between upper and lower armrest sections and twist to release, (I'd recommend something like a Bojo tool http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BOJO-Tip-21-ATH-21-XNGL-Long-Thin-Pry-TRIM-CLIP-RADIO-TOOL-Snap-Off-On-Trim-/271307466936?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item3f2b2f68b8)

There's two bolts holding the upper piece to the door panel.
