I have a 1997 Mondeo lx and would like to put a roof rack on it.

I have seen some Mondeo with roof bars but mine has not got them.

is there any anchor points to put one on or do I need a diff sort of roof rack.

looked at at the inflatable ones but I would like to carry 2 kayaks on the roof any ideas

    Roof bars are fitter to the roof rails that only came with the Estates as optional extras. You will be best off buying a system specific for your car. Thule do these and there may be some second hand Ford ones on eBay. The mounting points will be under the rubber door seal if anywhere and may be just a small hole or dimple near the top of the door frames.

    Thanks so am I right in thinking the anchor points are under the black strip which are on the roof the length of the car

    They are, normally though the mount points are a small removable bit at each end, rather than the need to remove the full thing!
