could be a fuse theres one for each side of the window or if they are okay its usually the connector under the scuttle panel but as said you should not drive with the heated screen on it uses the equivelant power of headlights on and front and rear fogs rear screen on fan on max radio on and electric windows in use constantly and a bit more its a massive hit on the battery ford state you use it only when required such as an icy windscreen so you do it before you move off giving the battery time to recover once its off
