Oil Top Up.

Featured Replies

Ok so I just checked my oil and it was dead low just topped it up with 1ltr of castrol magnetic the recommended. The car has done over 10k miles never been topped up since now would you say that's normal considering it's a 1ltr turbo? I would assume if it was burning that much every month I should be worried anyone have any input?

Erm not quite sure... When you got the car, did you check what level the fuel was at to begin with? I would recommend now you've seen the level it's at now, to keep an eye on it and see how long it goes down now, with regards to the mileage you do..

That's the thing I didn't check when bought just would assume it would have the 1ltr of oil in as new but I will keep an eye on it over the next 4 weeks and see of there is any noticeable changes.

mines done 5k, will check the level on mine when I get home and report back to see if this gives you any indication

Cheers pal much appreciated

1 litre over 10K isn't so bad. My ST mysteriously lost 2.5 litres of oil in the first 2k and I will be going in to the dealers tomorrow for them to check it after filling it back up.

From checking the level daily since, I think it has gone down some in 300 odd miles but the damn dipstick is very inconsistent.

Hmm seems very odd I wonder if very one else is getting some issues then. Let us know what they say

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed reply,

Checked mine and the level is at the very top mark, so full I think.

I will keep on eye on it, as I say mines done 5k so half of yours, might start consuming more oil in the next 5k
