Engine Management Light

Featured Replies

Hi all, my daughter has a 2010 Fiesta derv Zetec, when she changes gear the engine management light comes on and i think it goes into limp home mode, any ideas?

your have to get the codes read otherwise people will be just guessing im afraid.

Automatic? if so, it it Drive or PowerShift when the error occurs?

Sorry i forgot to say it is manual.

So you dip the clutch and the limp mode activates?

The way she told me it is when she changes gear the car goes into limp mode but i will check with her if its just if she dips the clutch, Ford dealer cant look at it for two weeks.

Could be clutch drag due to the pedal not being applied enough.

If your Daughter isn't very tall possibly she can't push the pedal down fully?

Eliminate the easy things first :)
