Strange Humming Noise Mk6.5

Featured Replies

As the title says really, last few days every time I've gone over 30mph I get a strange noise coming from under the car. I originally thought it may be a wheel bearing as I thought it was coming from the rear, but I've also been told that a common fault on fords is the CV joint/driveshaft as my stepdad said he could feel it in the passenger footwell earlier. Anyone shed any light on this and is something likely to fall off while driving to work? I also sometimes get the knock when on full lock but not often if that helps (the noise that sounds like the rack has hit the end of its travel)
