    Its all to do with statistics, I bet if you checked insurance on a v6 Mondeo or Vectra it would be cheaper as no 17 year olds drive them, therefore no known associated risk stats to price it up by, I found with my First car an Astra was cheaper than a Corsa and a Vectra was cheaper than an Astra and the Omega 3.0 was dirty cheap lol.

    Good rule for a first time driver, get something random and uncommon,

    Just keep the money dude and keep it nice and clean, ready to sell in a few years for the next / faster car, plus going by what I see on here it'll be the most original and unique as none of them get left alone and it'll be easy to sell. Keep the cost of the box and extra insurance for a decent holiday / start a house fund / drug habit, it'll be better than lining the pockets of some fat cat in the banks.
