Needs tracer dye and nitrogen putting into the system ( this acts as air-con gas) As you cant put refrigerant gas into a vehicle which you know has a leak as its against the law (and some hefty fines!!).

Find where the leak is coming from and replace the parts.

If there isnt a leak. Then it will either be a component or wiring issue but you need to rule out that there isnt a leak first.

You need a qualification to work on aircon systems as they can be highly dangerous (lose of limbs if it comes in contact at the correct tempratute etc.)

If quickfit dont check for leaks. Then take it to someone who is well equipped to diagnose the fault.

I had this issue recently, leaking compressor - fixed at a bill of over £400 to the trader who sold me the car.

For the amount of sun we get a year I wouldn't pay for a new compressor but I think that's the problem

The thing is I know somebody who works on refrigeration he said all kwikfit could do is a leak try's which would take 24-48 hours to do and if they had no gas trained people there they would allowed to even try to regass the car unsure on that would be nice to find out if that is the case

Yeah it seems compressors and condensers are slightly reluctant to work very well lol
