Big problem Hi was wondering if anyone has any idea what the problem is with my 06 smax 2.0 diesel it started of with with struggling to start, so I had the battery replaced but this didn't really solve the problem but improved it slightly for a week or so but then I had to park on a hill incase it choose no to start which was nearly everyday. The other day I bump started it and whilst I was driving the

battery light came on, I lost power steering, the radio would turn on and off. I then pulled over and kept the engine running and then everything just died, I even struggled to !Removed! the window because battery so flat

    Is it a silver calcium battery.

    Is the alternator working properly.

    There is a TSB article about flat batteries in 2006-2007 S-max's.

    Your car needs to go to ford for a software update - you will not solve it until this is done.
